The Wall, Amed, North-eastern Bali
One of Bali’s Best Diving Sites
Amed is a coastal area located in the northeastern part of Bali, Indonesia. It is known for its picturesque landscapes, black sand beaches, and vibrant coral reefs. This site is accessible by a short boat ride and offers divers a huge range of marine life and some lovely coral colonies. The Wall refers to the zig-zagging wall that contains colourful sponges, sea anemones, gorgonias, fish, coral, and fascinating creatures. The vertical structure of the wall is an exciting and visually stunning diving experience.
There are many local boaters with small traditional Balinese outriggers waiting to take divers to the dive site, which is about ten minutes from the beach. This experience is perfect for beginners, as you can usually start in the shallows at 3m deep and enjoy the reef and its abundance of sea creatures.
