The Drop Off, Tulamben, North-eastern Bali
An Epic Dive of Sheer Cliff and Coral Gardens
The Drop Off is another fantastic Tulamben dive site which, as the name suggests, drops away from 3-metres to around 80-metres. It has an abundance of ocean life and is a great spot for photography. There is a good mix of opportunities for new divers and snorkellers, and advanced divers.
With visibility up to 30m beneath the surface, the Drop Off is one of the most popular sites in Bali and was formed by the lava river of the Mount Agung eruption in 1963. Covered in a multitude of unique corals, you can also see Black Tip Sharks, Dog Tooth Tuna, Leaf Scorpion Fish, Pygmy Sea Horses, Giant Parrot Fish, and so much more. Stunning Giant Gorgonias fan their way across the site, leaving pops of colour in their wake, and making for stunning underwater photography against the deep blue backdrop.
Located an hour and 15 minutes from Manggis, The Drop is a worthwhile visit and close to USAT Liberty. Contact a friendly My Bali Expert to help you plan your perfectly packaged diving holiday in Bali.
